QuoroSkin® & QuoroSkin-D®
Native Structural Matrices for Matrix Metalloproteinase Modulation and Dermal Regeneration.
QuoroSkin® and QuoroSkin-D® provide a 3D extracellular structural matrix engineered from high-purity structural biomaterials. Designed specifically for recalcitrant chronic wounds trapped in the inflammatory stage, it acts as a sacrificial substrate for excess destructive matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), protecting native growth factors and directing cellular migration across the wound bed.
Overcoming the Chronic Inflammatory Plateau
Chronic non-healing wounds exhibit elevated proteolytic enzymes (MMP-2, MMP-8, MMP-9) that degrade newly synthesized extracellular matrix before capillaries can form.
MMP Neutralization
QuoroSkin® presents a dense network of cleavage sites that competitively bind and absorb elevated MMPs, neutralizing destructive proteases away from native tissues.
Growth Factor Preservation
By deactivating excessive proteases, endogenous platelet-derived (PDGF) and vascular endothelial (VEGF) growth factors are shielded, allowing cellular proliferation.
Epithelial Edge Ingrowth
Provides the physical physical bridge required for advancing keratinocytes and fibroblasts to migrate from wound margins toward the center for complete re-epithelialization.
Clinical Utilization Scope
- check Diabetic foot ulcers stalled in the inflammatory phase (>4 weeks)
- check Venous leg ulcers unresponsive to compression monotherapy
- check Dehisced surgical incisions and full-thickness cavity defects
- check Second-degree thermal burns and clean skin graft donor sites
- check Non-healing arterial and mixed-etiology lower extremity ulcers
