X-Scar®
Medical-Grade Silicone Gel & Sheeting for Hypertrophic and Keloid Scar Prevention.
X-Scar® is a clinically validated scar management system formulated with premium cross-linked polydimethylsiloxane polymers. It normalizes transepidermal water loss (TEWL), dampens capillary hyper-reactivity, and downregulates fibroblast overactivity to flatten, soften, and fade both new surgical scars and mature keloids.
How Silicone Regulates Scar Matrix Remodeling
International clinical consensus guidelines designate topical silicone as the first-line non-invasive standard of care for scar prophylaxis and therapy.
TEWL Normalization
Freshly closed scars lose excessive water via transepidermal evaporation. X-Scar® restores stratum corneum barrier function, halting the continuous cytokine alarm triggers.
Fibroblast Downregulation
Halts TGF-beta-mediated overproduction of fibrotic matrix fibrils, preventing the excessive tissue deposition that forms raised, erythematous hypertrophic scars.
Erythema & Pruritus Relief
Soothes cutaneous nerve endings to alleviate post-surgical itching and tightness while reducing microvascular congestion to diminish redness over time.
